  • What is the minimum rental?

    ORIX Commercial Vehicles offers Commercial Vehicle rental from one day to seven years, depending on your need.

  • Does ORIX offer one way rentals?

    Our Commercial Vehicles may be picked up from any of our seven branches, and returned to another branch; however, a relocation fee to have the vehicle returned to the branch of origin will be included in the cost. On occasion when we are looking to relocate our equipment we may be able to offer a one way rental at no additional cost. One way rentals are subject to availability of equipment, and future bookings on the vehicles.

  • Can ORIX deliver and/or collect rental vehicles?

    Yes, however there may be a charge for this service. It is also subject to distance and staff availability.

  • How do I pay for the rental?

    There are several options available to pay for your rental:

    • Short and Long Term Rentals can be done on a 14 Day Account basis, subject to credit approval;
    • Short Term Rentals only, can be done on a Cash Account basis, and a security deposit will be required.
  • What do I need to bring when I pick up the truck or trailer?

    We will require a valid driver’s licence with the correct endorsements and if renting on a Cash Account, the deposit as agreed with the branch staff prior to pick up.

  • Are there any licensing restrictions?

    A driver on a Learners Permit or Provisional License is not permitted to drive an ORIX rental vehicle at any time.

  • Do ORIX have e-tags for the vehicles?

    We are not able to supply the e-tag, but there is access to the internet at all our branches for you to go on-line and link the vehicle registration with your existing e-tag account.

  • Do I need a log book or drivers diary for the vehicle?

    ORIX recommends that all drivers intending to operate a commercial vehicle contact the state authority responsible for licensing to check the most up to date and applicable rules.

  • Is there a Breakdown service for the vehicles?

    All ORIX Commercial Vehicles are covered by 24-hour roadside assistance. For emergency breakdowns call 1300 652 886.

  • What are the minimum and maximum lease terms for Commercial Vehicles?

    An ORIX commercial vehicle lease can range from 24 months to 84 months (2 years to 7 years).

  • What information do I need provide ORIX with in order to get a lease quote for a commercial vehicle?

    ORIX will require:

    • The term you wish to keep the commercial vehicle for;
    • The estimated annual kilometres you will complete in the commercial vehicle;
    • The conditions in which the vehicle be operating;
    • The industry in which the vehicle will be operating
    • The proposed weight and product payload the vehicle will be carrying.
  • Can I choose my delivering dealer?

    Yes, it is possible to choose your preferred dealer, truck/body manufacturer as well as choosing the make, model and third party accessories.

  • What is included in a fully maintained lease?

    You have the flexibility to choose the fleet management options you need to transform your non-maintained operating lease to a fully maintained operating lease. You can elect to have ORIX handle everything from acquisition to disposal or a single element such as registration only.

  • Is it possible to return the Commercial Vehicle to ORIX at any time?

    Yes it is possible to return your commercial vehicle at any time; however an early termination fee will apply if the lease term is not completed.
