Gender Equality Strategy

Gender Equality
Strategy

At ORIX, we value the diversity of talent, experience and thought within our organisation. Our Gender Equality Strategy, which is part of our broader Diversity and Inclusion policy, will help us ensure our workforce reflects the community in which we operate, and allow us to attract, recruit, retain and develop the talent we need to achieve our strategic goals.

For the first year, ORIX was awarded the WGEA Employer of Choice for Gender Equality (EOCGE) citation for 2020, 2021 and 2022. ORIX received the citation for its work across a number of key areas including flexible work, gender pay equity, creating a gender balanced workforce, preventing gender-based harassment and discrimination, and leadership and development.

Women in leadership

Fleet has traditionally been a male-dominated sector. But we are changing that at ORIX. Our goal is to achieve women in 40% of management at all levels by 2023. Our updated policies, procedures and reporting are designed to ensure both gender equality and broader diversity, along with a flexible workplace that supports the responsibilities and needs of all employees.

Empowered to do
our best work

We believe diversity and inclusion underpins an inclusive culture that engages, inspires and retains our most talented employees. Using new tools to connect from home or nearby ORIX offices, our people have had greater opportunities to work more flexibly. We’re already seeing improved employee satisfaction – and greater productivity.

A strong commitment to our people

Gender equality, diversity and inclusion

At ORIX, we value the diversity of talent, experience and thought of every person on our team. Our Gender Equality Strategy, which is part of our broader Diversity and Inclusion policy, will enable us to advance the culture of our workforce to reflect the community we operate in. Plus, it will allow us to attract, recruit, retain and develop the talent we need to achieve our strategic goals.

The strategy includes tangible targets: by 2023, we are aiming for at least 40 per cent of our management team, at all levels, to be women. We are committed to regularly reviewing all our policies, procedures and reporting to ensure they enable both gender equality and broader diversity. And we will continue to provide a flexible workplace that supports the responsibilities and needs of all employees.

I am proud to champion gender equality, diversity and inclusion at ORIX, because I believe it is crucial to creating a culture that engages, includes and inspires all our people to be their best selves at work.
